Uthhan is catering to more than 100K plus artisans across India and all your purchase amounts will go directly to the respective artisan families. Born in April 2012, Uthhan is a joint initiative between different artisan community organizations and GERG (Golden Era Royal Group) for the upliftment of financially weaker segments of skilled artisans across India. Uthhan is the first initiative in India where the profit from sales goes directly to the respective skilled workers.

Uthhan Global connects customers worldwide with authentic Indian handicrafts, directly supporting artisan families across India. We strive to provide quality handmade products and a transparent shopping experience.

Please read our Return, Replacement & Refund Policy carefully before placing an order.

1. General Policy

We take care to ensure that the products delivered to our customers match their descriptions and are appropriately packed. Returns, replacements and refunds are considered in accordance with the conditions outlined below.

Customers are requested to inspect their products upon delivery and report any damage, defects, missing parts or discrepancies within the applicable reporting period.

2. Order Cancellation Due to Non-Payment of International Shipping Charges

All product orders on Uthhan Global are 100% prepaid. International shipping charges are calculated separately after an order is placed and must be paid before dispatch.

The shipping amount depends on the destination country, package weight, dimensions and applicable courier charges.

After receiving an order, Uthhan Global will communicate the actual international shipping charges to the customer.

If the customer does not wish to proceed with the order or does not pay the shipping charges within the specified payment period, the order may be cancelled.

Refund terms for cancellation due to non-payment of shipping charges:

• The prepaid product amount will be refunded after deducting only the actual payment gateway charges applicable to the original transaction.
• No additional cancellation fees, administrative fees or restocking charges will be deducted.
• No international shipping charges will be collected for an order that is cancelled before dispatch due to non-payment of shipping charges.
• The refund will be initiated to the original payment method or processed in accordance with the payment provider's refund procedures.
• Refunds will be processed within 4-5 working days of order cancellation, subject to payment gateway and banking procedures.

Example: If a customer pays $100 for products and subsequently declines the international shipping quotation, the refund will be $100 minus the applicable payment gateway charges for the original transaction. No other cancellation deductions will apply.

Customers are encouraged to contact our support team if they have questions about the shipping quotation or wish to cancel their order.

3. Return Eligibility After Delivery

Customers may request a return within 5 working days of delivery if the product received:

• Is physically damaged.
• Has a manufacturing or product defect.
• Has missing parts or accessories.
• Is materially different from the description or specifications provided on the Uthhan Global product page.

Return requests are subject to verification and approval by the Uthhan Global team.

Damage or defects must be reported within 24 hours of delivery, along with clear photographs or videos and the relevant order details. Claims reported after this period may not be accepted under the standard damage-reporting policy, subject to applicable law.

4. Products Not Eligible for Return

The following products are generally not eligible for return unless they arrive damaged, defective or materially different from their description, or where a return is otherwise required by applicable law:

• Products explicitly marked as non-returnable on their product pages.
• Bulk orders involving more than five units.
• Paintings.
• Products damaged through misuse, mishandling or other actions attributable to the customer after delivery.

Customers should review product descriptions and specifications carefully before purchasing.

5. How to Request a Return or Replacement

To request a return or replacement:

1. Sign in to your Uthhan Global account and contact our support team with your order details, or email uthhanglobal@gmail.com.
2. Include your order number, the reason for the request and clear photographs or videos where applicable.
3. Wait for the Uthhan Global team to review the request and provide return instructions, if the request is approved.
4. Return the product to the authorised address provided by our team, where a return shipment is required.

Please do not send products back without first contacting our team and receiving return instructions.

6. Return Shipping Charges

If a return is approved because a product arrived damaged, defective or materially different from its listed specifications, Uthhan Global will communicate the applicable return-shipping arrangements to the customer.

If the product was damaged by the customer or the return is for a reason not attributable to Uthhan Global, return-shipping costs will generally be borne by the customer.

Any applicable return-shipping arrangements will be confirmed before the customer sends the product back.

7. Refunds for Approved Returns

Once a returned product is received and inspected, Uthhan Global will notify the customer whether the refund request has been approved.

If approved, the refund will be processed to the original payment method, subject to payment provider procedures.

Refunds for approved returns will generally be processed within 30 working days of approval or order cancellation, as applicable.

For cancellations resulting from non-payment of international shipping charges, the separate refund conditions in Section 2 will apply.

Refunds are subject to the relevant eligibility conditions and applicable law. No partial refunds will ordinarily be provided for products retained by the customer unless required by applicable law or expressly agreed by Uthhan Global.

8. Replacements and Exchanges

Replacements may be offered for products that arrive damaged, defective or materially different from their listed specifications, subject to verification and product availability.

Customers seeking a replacement must contact uthhanglobal@gmail.com with their order details and supporting evidence.

If the same product is unavailable, Uthhan Global will communicate the available resolution options, which may include a refund where applicable.

9. Sale Products

Sale products are subject to the same applicable damage, defect and incorrect-description protections outlined in this policy and under applicable law.

Any additional return restrictions will be communicated on the relevant product page before purchase.

10. Late or Missing Refunds

If you have not received an approved refund within the expected period:

1. Check your original payment account.
2. Contact your bank or payment provider to enquire about processing times.

Refund processing times may vary depending on the payment gateway, bank and destination country.

11. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for providing accurate contact details, payment information and delivery addresses.

For international orders, customers must review the shipping quotation and complete the separate shipping payment before dispatch.

If the customer declines the shipping quotation or fails to pay within the communicated period, the order may be cancelled in accordance with Section 2.
